Bitchcraft (Fashion Inspo)

22 Feb

Everyone needs some weekend fashion inspiration every once in a while. So what’s on my weekend agenda? Working, then hanging out with my friends at Jekyll & Hyde, because nothing says friendship like horror themed restaurants! That is, if your friends are like mine, and count classics like Rosemary’s Baby, The Exorcist, The Craft [what it’s the best movie ever, ok?], and Rocky Horror Picture Show as some of their favorite films. So anyway, here’s some fashion inspo for your dark witchy weekend.

When talking about witchy fashion you have to begin with Queen Stevie, look at her she just radiates magic [does she come with a wind machine? Because her clothes and hair are always oh-so enviously flowing]

Moving on to Stevie’s heir apparent, Lorde. Lorde always inspires with her awesome monochromatic closet and affinity for dark plum lipsticks [I want that lipstick, tell me your secrets Lorde]

The fashion in The Craft, is literally my favorite, it’s in all honesty Clueless gone grunge, in other words it’s pretty fucking perfect. Who doesn’t like thigh-highs, croptops, slips, and basics in black?

Can we talk about American Horror Story this season? It was a revolving door of amazing fashion; but the highlight of the season [fashion wise, I mean; the actual highlight of the season was Misty (Lily Rabe) punching the shit out of Madison (Emma Roberts,) obviously] was definitely Zoe’s (Taissa Farmiga) funeral dress, corset belt, & wide brim hat. I literally “ahh-ed” the first time I saw it.

Something else that just keeps getting better? Hedi Slimane’s tenure at Saint Laurent; his dark androgynous aesthetic has revived the flailing fashion house, and turned it into something I constantly dream about [if some kind soul could get me the rock leather ankle boots size 37, it’d be greatly appreciated]
